What we can do today

  • Start collecting costs now. The declaration is for CAT B - efforts to include emergency protective measures to save lives, protect public health and safety, and to protect improved property. Examples of costs include: overtime labor expenses, equipment, supplies and materials, and donated resources. Please see attached Documentation Checklist.
  • Encourage applicants to apply even if they don’t anticipate costs today. This is an on-going event and FEMA will not approve applicants should they develop costs once the 30- or 60-day window passes.
  • Advise applicants involved in DR4354 and DR4367 to review their Grants Portal access. If they need a password reset or need to make contact information updates, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with their changes.
  • For potential applicants that do not have access to the Grants Portal, a request can be made to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the name of the entity they are representing, full name, email, and phone number. We will also work to add unregistered applicants during the applicant briefings. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
