Responsibilities of the E-911 Addressing Officer
The Addressing Officer is responsible for approving and providing address information to the Emergency Services Communication Bureau or its designee.
County Commissioners with populated unorganized territories must designate an Addressing Officer to serve townships.
Typical responsibilities of the Addressing Officer include:
Verifying addresses and/or making corrections; approving road names and number ranges; assist in updating missing road data; install road signs as necessary; and interacting with citizens and vendors to complete the addressing needs of the Unorganized townships in Piscataquis County.
