Finance Department

The finance department is responsible for providing the accounting and financing information needed to make financial decisions and for bookkeeping. Landowners in organized towns pay their property taxes directly to the town. Landowners in unorganized towns pay their property taxes to the State of Maine Bureau of Taxation.

Finance Office Hours: 8:30am - 12, 12:30 - 4pm, M-F

The County of PIscataquis intends to file an application of Federal assistance with the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development. This assistance is needed for the purpose of financing two police vehicles to be used as rural patrol vehicles.


Any interested party may attend an informational meeting at the regular Piscataquis County Commissioners meeting, 163 East Main St, Dover-Foxcroft on August 16, 2022 at 8:30 AM.

Unserved Internet Rebate

Piscataquis County Unserved Internet Rebate Qualifications

  • Must be able to prove you are a full-time/permanent resident of Piscataquis County.
  • Must not have access to the internet at your home as show by the Piscataquis County Broadband Study. (see link below). DSL availability must be below 25 per FCC Standard.
  • Must attach receipt of hardware installation to the rebate application. You are responsible for your monthly internet fees.
