Budget Advisory Committee

The Budget Advisory Committee is appointed by the County Commissioners. Each district has three committee members as nominated by the Commissioner in the district as outlined in Title 30A Article 6 Sections 821-827. The advisory committee meets for the number of times necessary to review the County and UT budgets as presented by the County Commissioners office. The advisory committee makes recommendations regarding the budget. A public hearing is held on the draft budget. The Commissioners put together the final changes, taking into consideration the advisory committee recommendations and the information received at the public hearing. The final approval of the budgets occurs at a Commissioners meeting in December.

Public Hearing

Piscataquis County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on the issue of the Blanchard Rd. in Shirley, Maine at their next meeting Aug. 3, 2021.

The meeting will be held in the Commissioner’s Chambers at
163 E. Main St. Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426 
immediately following their regular meeting which starts at 8:30 AM
