Request for Bids - Fuel Oil and Gasoline 2021

The Piscataquis County Commissioners are requesting 2 separate bid proposals from petroleum suppliers, with each bid for a one-year period beginning July 1, 2021.  Suppliers may bid on only fuel oil, only gasoline or for both.

  1. Fuel Oil: Two proposals are requested for #2 fuel oil. One proposal consists of a fixed price and the second proposal consists of a capped price.  All locations must be on automatic delivery. 

and/or

  1. Gasoline: Two proposals are requested for regular unleaded gasoline. One proposal consists of a fixed price and the second proposal consists of a price showing an escalation clause plus rack price. Gasoline must be available at the supplier’s pump 24 hours a day every day.  A record of purchase must be available to the County showing the employee who made the purchase, date, amount and vehicle.

All bids must be received at the Commissioners Office by noon on June 14, 2021.

All bids must be received at the Commissioners Office (163 East Main St., Dover- Foxcroft, Me 04426) in a sealed envelope marked “Fuel Oil Bid” or “Gasoline Bid” along with the name of the company submitting the bid, by noon on June 14, 2021.  Late bids will not be considered.

The County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The Commissioners will consider the bid results at their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, starting at 8:30 a.m.
